Team Member Involvement
Community Involvement
At CDI, we believe Building Stronger Communities requires investing in our communities’ future and advocating for those in need. Our Civil Giving non-profit and committee lends us a way to engage with the surrounding communities we love and serve.
CDI team members are given the opportunity to financially contribute, serve on the committee, or organize a volunteer event. To make volunteering more accessible, CDI provides eight Volunteer Time Off (VTO) hours to each team member. VTO hours can be used in whatever manner the team member wishes, whether that be contributing to an internally sponsored charity event or engaging with their community outside of the workplace.
“The impact that Civil Giving makes on our communities cannot be measured. At CDI, we aren’t just Building Stronger Communities with our projects; we are changing and impacting the lives of many families in our local areas. It’s something that I am truly grateful to be a part of and witness the impact of firsthand.”

Organizational Involvement
Through both our Civil Culture and Civil Shenanigans committees, CDI sponsors a variety of workplace events throughout the year. From internal lunches, happy hours, and cook-offs to external sporting events and activities, CDI prioritizes and implements opportunities for our team members to form and foster connections.
“Civil Giving is not just monetary—Civil Giving is an awakening of your heart and mind. It has made an impact on my life, not only from the aspect of money given or time shared in helping, but also from all the new friends I’ve made.”
Missy Legel, Louisville
