CDI believes in the importance of an organizational culture driven by team members. In 2020, we created the Civil Culture committee to help further cultivate our internal culture and create the best possible work environment for every team member. The Civil Culture Committee helps plan company-wide spirit weeks and internal office events, while also discussing and implementing initiatives that further our workplace culture for our team members.
In order to Build Stronger Communities, we believe we need to invest in our communities’ future, actively advocate for those in need, and fully embody our core values. Established in 2014, Civil Giving is our official charitable fund dedicated to fostering education in underserved communities, assisting in providing basic human needs, and offering national and international emergency aid.
Led by a committee of CDI team members and partnered with the St. Louis Community Foundation, Civil Giving lends us a platform to engage with the larger community, while offering sustainable and innovative solutions to our world’s most challenging problems.
We believe in the ongoing development of all our team members. Rooted by our values of Mutual Trust & Respect and Continuous Learning & Growth, Civil Growth is committed to the ongoing professional and personal growth of our team members. Our philosophy is based on developing the inherent strengths of our team members and developing a foundation of positive mentoring and coaching.
Civil Innovation aims to foster a culture of technical creativity, experimentation, and continuous technological growth at CDI. Our Civil Innovation team works diligently to identify and develop new ideas and processes that further our ability to serve our clients and improve our internal operations.
We find our team to be the most important asset at CDI, valuing the safety, dignity, and respect of all our team members. Due to the variety of the projects that we undertake and the various specialties of our team, developing a unified safety program covering all aspects of the nature of our work is a vital undertaking. To address the variety of safety concerns faced by our team members, the committee was formed to develop and maintain a safety program meeting the needs of each service line.
Team members who work hard together should also have the time to celebrate together. Civil Shenanigans is a committee that facilitates interpersonal relationships throughout the workplace, creating lasting engagement within our CDI community. These interpersonal relationships reinforce company culture, impact team member happiness, and strengthen the ties within our organization.
