Coaching at CDI
Identifying Strengths
CDI’s Civil Growth committee developed a program to promote our values by recognizing our team members’ inherent strengths.
After starting at CDI, team members take the Clifton Strengths Talent Assessment and receive a list of their top five strengths. In the workplace, these strengths are celebrated and integrated into our day-to-day routine. Our goal is to leverage each team member’s strengths and identify ways to ensure each team member is fulfilled in their role at CDI.
Coaching
In place of annual performance reviews, CDI’s coaching program facilitates multiple meetings between team members and their coach throughout the year. The meetings lend our team members the opportunity to discuss their personal and professional goals with their coach, as well as implement action plans to help achieve the goals set in these meetings. Coaching meetings happen as often or as little as the team member would like—while CDI encourages meetings to occur at least once a quarter, we allow our coaches and team members to determine a schedule that works best for them.
Team Member Recognition
Each team member receives a personalized jar after arriving at CDI. If a team member wishes to recognize the accomplishment of another team member, they can give them a marble for their jar. Marble colors are linked to various categories of accomplishments, whether it be a project success, displaying CDI values, or giving back to our communities. Anyone can recognize or celebrate another at CDI, strengthening internal relationships and encouraging our growth as individuals and an organization.
