Established in 1847, Fulton State Hospital was the first mental health facility west of the Mississippi. The 491 bed hospital has undergone numerous changes over the years. CDI was contracted specifically to address FSH's issues with storm water flooding.
Using storm water modeling and site engineering, CDI developed construction drawings to increase sewer sizes and improve drainage inlet placements, paying close attention to existing buried utilities. CDI also acted as the owner's representative through its construction management section.
