The original Baumgartner Lagoon and Lift Station were scheduled for elimination with the Lower Meramec River Systems Improvements of 2007. Previous analyses had found that flows tributary to the Lift Station significantly exceeded its 10 MGD capacity.
It was determined by CDI's Environmental Market that the removal of the Baumgartner Lift Station and a connection between the Baumgartner and Mattese Sewer would eliminate surcharging due to backwater, though capacity issues would remain.
The Baumgartner Sanitary Relief project consisted of surveying, geotechnical services, hydraulic studies, and design of new mains. CDI also provided the necessary HYDRA modeling.
